Medical Assistant

A gastroenterology and hepatology clinic in Bend is in need of a Medical Assistant to join their team long term.

Overview of Responsibilities:
- Rooms patients and assists Providers during patient visits
- Completed timely and accurate documentation of patient visits
- Obtains and documents vital signs
- Collects specimens and documents lab work; completes lab requisitions and send specimens to lab
- Processes prescriptions and orders as directed by the provider
- Prepares exam rooms, stocks rooms and supplies, and sterilizes instruments

Requirements:
- MA diploma
- 2+ years experience
- Charting experience
- Medical Records experience
- Rooming experience

Additional Skills (preferred):
- Gastroenterology experience
- MA certification

Schedule:
Monday-Thursday, 8am-5pm
Friday 8am-2pm

Pay:
$17-25 per hour depending on experience

6 months Contract to Hire with Medix.

Sick Pay: You will receive one day of Sick Time after working 600 hours and an additional day of Sick Time for every 300 hours after. **Please note that if you're in a city/state with unique PTO requirements, the city/state's policy will override Medix's internal PTO policy.
