Job description

  • Title: Medical Assistant

    Contract Duration: 520 hours and contract to hire

    Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with an hour lunch

    • Clinic is closed on Saturdays

    • Major holidays they are closed

    • Address/Parking: Boulder, CO 80303

    • Parking is provided onsite

    • No traveling or floating to other clinics

    Responsibilities:

    • Escorts patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment room as appropriate.

    • Records patient data prior to each physician visit, including but not limited to, vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.

    • Obtains all necessary patient records as required by physician prior to treatment or procedures.

    • Prepares and stocks exam/treatment rooms and orders supplies as needed.

    • Assists physicians with exams and procedures as requested.

    • Administers subcutaneous and intramuscular injections, as delegated by RN or physician.

    • Maintains all exam/treatment room disinfection protocols.

    • Responds to patients' calls as requested.

    • Alerts nurse/physician of abnormal vitals, any important information given by patient.

    • Collection of inbound meaningful use data. Flu documentation, initial height and weight.

    • Prints med list for patient to review.

    • Fill out disability forms.

    Must have skills:

    • 1.5 - 2 years + experience as a Medical Assistant

    • Experience rooming patients and taking vitals

    • MA Diploma
    • Nice to have Skills:

    • Professional

    • Presentable

    • Oncology experience

    Attire:

    • Scrubs

      • Open on colors or patterns

    Selling points:

    Reporting to:

    • MA supervisor

    Training:

    • Shadowing onsite with the MA department

    Compliance:

    • TB test within the last 12 months

      • Skin or blood TB works

    • Drug screen

      • Excludes Marijuana

    • Background Check

    • Flu Vaccine

      • If candidate does not wish to receive, must wear a mask till end of flu season April 2024

    • DO NOT NEED TO BE VACCINATED FOR COVID-19
