Medical Assistant

We are hiring for Medical Assistant in New Providence, NJ for an outpatient dermotology office.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday 8-5

Job Responsibilities:

• Basic patient care such as rooming patients and taking vitals
• Performing procedures such as phlebotomy, injections and EKGs
• Assisting providers with procedures as needed
• Documenting in the EMR system
• Obtain patient referrals
• Basic office work such as answering phones, scheduling patients and taking co-pays

Requirements:

• High school graduate or GED equivalent required
• Medical Assistant diploma or national cert required
• Basic computer literacy required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations required.
• Good communication and customer service skills required.

Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:

• At least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• More than one year of related experience in a medical setting preferred
