Job description

Seeking a dedicated and adaptable Medical Assistant! You'll provide patient-centered care, assist in various medical procedures, and collaborate with healthcare professionals. Job Description: Medical Assistant

Location: Monroeville, PA 15146

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with patients who have diverse urologic diagnoses, demonstrating reliability and attentiveness.
  • Assist physicians with patient exams and medical procedures, as well as handling patient scheduling and chart preparation.
  • Embrace a fast-paced environment, learning quickly, and collaborating effectively with other medical assistants, Physician Assistants, and Physicians.
  • Occasional travel of about 15 miles may be required. (mileage reimbursement)
  • Perform patient rooming and vital sign assessments, including blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate.
  • Utilize laboratory skills, including urinalysis.
  • Set up examination rooms following sterile field technique and instrument handling protocols.
  • Assist physicians during clinical procedures and exams.
  • Administer medications as needed.
  • Ensure proper cleaning, sterilization, and disinfection of medical instruments.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of clinical areas.
  • Schedule patient appointments and prepare charts for upcoming visits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Previous patient care experience, such as Medical Assistant (MA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT).
  • MA Diploma is preferred but not required.

Schedule/Shift:

  • Work schedules may vary. Start times range from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM, Monday through Thursday. All staff work from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM on Fridays every week.

Dress Code: Scrubs
