Medical Assistant / LPN - Pediatric Clinic

Summary:
Highly skilled Medical Assistant or Licesed Practical Nurse with experience in fast-paced pediatric care. Proficient in administering pediatric vaccinations and injections, rooming patients, and assisting with medical procedures. Comfortable working with EPIC EHR and providing exceptional care in a high-energy environment. Committed to ensuring a positive experience for both patients and healthcare providers.

Day to Day:

• Rooming pediatric patients, taking vitals, and preparing them for exams and procedures.
• Administering pediatric injections and vaccinations, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Managing EPIC EHR system tasks including documentation, in-basket management, and patient communication.
• Assisting physicians with various procedures and treatments in a high-volume clinic.
• Educating parents and guardians on post-care instructions, vaccination schedules, and general health care.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and sterile environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
• Coordinating patient appointments, follow-ups, and ensuring smooth patient flow.

Qualifications:

• Medical Assistant (MA) diploma (accredited), CMA, RMA, EMT-B (MN), or LPN certification.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• 1+ year of pediatric or related medical experience, especially with pediatric injections and vaccines.
• Proficient with EPIC EHR system for managing patient records, in-basket, and communication.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong flexibility, communication, and adaptability.

Shift:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday
7:00 AM - 5:15 PM (1-hour lunch)
Tuesday hours: 6:45 AM - 5:15 PM
(Excludes Thursdays)
