Job description

Medix is currently hiring for a full time Certified Medical Assistant in Morristown, NJ.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares the examination room
  • Escorts patient into the room
  • Cleans examination room when exam is complete
  • Maintains efficient patient flow
  • Monitors Providers schedule for additions/cancellations
  • Properly utilizes Athena to alert Provider when patient ready
  • Ensures proper preparation for patient visit
  • Prepares pertinent information needed for patient visit
  • Chart Prep: Prepare patient visit in advance
  • Perform patient outreach to obtain vaccine records and imaging results
  • Queue up orders as appropriate for visit
  • Review outstanding orders/referrals
  • Communicates & provides care consistent with age, cultural, spiritual and developmental needs of the patient
  • Answers the telephone in an appropriate manner
  • Directs calls and/or takes accurate messages
  • Perform Patient check-in/check-out when applicable

Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of Medical Assistant experience
  • Medical Assistant diploma/certification required

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
