Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
Location: Torrance, CA
Pay: $40-$44 hourly
Overview:
Join a unique opportunity to provide healthcare to underserved populations. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with our team, you'll be operating an ambulance and delivering in-home patient care through the Healthcare Plan Partnership Program. Your work will focus on care gap closures for Medicare and Medicaid patients, providing essential healthcare services and making a lasting impact on the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform point-of-care tests (blood drop, nasal swabs)
- Draw blood for lab testing (IV/Blood Draw Certification required)
- Conduct EKGs and proctored eye exams
- Perform eye dilations and noncomplex wound care
- Take vital signs and perform health screenings
- Administer fluoride varnish treatments
- Facilitate video visits with healthcare providers
Requirements:
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
- Phlebotomy Certification and experience
- Active CA Driver's License with 2 years of driving experience and a clean MVR
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds (moving equipment such as EKG machines)
- Must be comfortable driving long distances if required
- Familiarity with and comfort working within patients' homes and communities
- Proficient with technology, including mobile EKG machines
Preferred Skills:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
Schedule Options:
- 8x5: 8 AM - 4:30 PM or 10 AM - 6:30 PM (5-6 in-home visits daily)
- Open to a 4x10 schedule as well
