Job description
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
Location: Sacramento, CA
About Us:
Join our dedicated team focused on making a meaningful impact in underserved populations. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide essential clinical care in a community setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct point-of-care tests, including blood drop and nasal swab samples on-site
- Perform blood draws for lab send-out tests (IV/Blood Draw certifications required)
- Administer EKGs and proctored eye exams using specialized devices
- Execute eye dilations and provide non-complex wound care
- Monitor and record vital signs, conduct health screenings, and administer fluoride varnish treatments
- Facilitate video visits with healthcare providers
- Assist with other clinical duties as required
Schedule Options:
- Choose between 5 shifts of 8 hours each or 4 shifts of 10 hours each, providing flexibility to fit your lifestyle.
Pay:
- Competitive pay of at least $40 per hour.
Qualifications:
- Current LVN License in California
- Phlebotomy certification or IV Therapy Certification
- Active California Driver's License with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and at least 2 years of driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds (moving equipment such as EKG machines)
- Familiarity and comfort with working in local communities, including visiting patients' homes
- Proficiency in using technology, including mobile EKG machines
