Job description

Position Overview:

This role ensures adherence to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies, standard documentation practices, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) regulations, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and other applicable regulatory guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate potential donors through medical history interviews to verify ongoing donor eligibility.
  • Complete and document screening processes to meet suitability requirements for donation collections; perform phlebotomy as required.
  • Conduct and document physical examinations in accordance with SOPs.
  • Administer donor consent and ensure proper documentation.
  • Assist with donor mobilization efforts and other program needs.
  • Manage donor-related incidents, including red cell loss, adverse reactions, and behavioral concerns.
  • Provide donor education and health counseling.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and workspaces.
  • Support daily, weekly, and monthly operations, including assisting with site operational records.
  • Collaborate with Regulatory and Quality teams to ensure compliance at the site level.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of SOPs, State and Federal regulations, OSHA, CLIA, and cGMP standards to ensure facility compliance.

Education and/or Experience

  • Educated and currently certified/licensed in the state of employment and according to state requirements as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (or equivalent), Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocation Nurse, Paramedic or Registered Nurse.
