Job description

Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

**FULL TIME, PART TIME, AND PER DIEM AVAILABLE**

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our medical team. The LPN will work closely with the Head Nurse, assisting in a variety of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, and a passion for providing support to those in need.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Nurse in performing daily duties and responsibilities.
  • Verify the identification of patients and monitor their behavior during the administration of medications and other medical services.
  • Adhere to all procedures for accounting for dispensed medication and report any discrepancies immediately to the Head Nurse.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical charts, appointment books, and daily visit logs.
  • Provide independent nursing follow-up care to patients as needed.
  • Assist in identifying and recalling patients for follow-up care, including monitoring urine toxicology.
  • Participate in the performance of admission and annual physical examinations.
  • Provide the physician or physician assistant with urine toxicology and other laboratory results promptly.
  • Attend at least ten medical meetings annually, serving as a member of one of the Division's Standing Committees.
  • Perform tasks to improve the quality of care, increase medical staff productivity, and enhance patient satisfaction.
  • Support efforts to improve reimbursement processes and reduce denials for services rendered.
  • Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, immunizations, vital signs, and assist in urine collection.
  • Assist the physician or physician assistant with pelvic examinations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications:

  • State certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with patients and co-workers.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Passionate about providing care and assistance to those in need.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • NPI number, Medicaid, and Medicare number required.
