Job description
- Act as the middleman between the CMA and the provider on their team
- Answer phones, patient portal messages, and provider messages
- Prep patients
- Lead in-office procedures
- Complete all other CMA tasks below depending on the day and staff working:
- Rooming patients
- Obtain vital signs such as height, weight, blood pressure, temperature
- Collect and document patient information in NextGen (ex. medication reconciliation)
- Administer injections (between 4-10 depending on the day)
- Answering phones and patient portal messages
- Scheduling appointments
- Assist with in-office procedures, such as pap smears, biopsies, skin tag removals, and ear lavages
- Patient volume: 19-22 patients/day
