Job description

Job Opportunity: LPN

We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team and support our healthcare professionals in providing exceptional medical services to our patients.

Job Duties:

Patient Assessment and Documentation:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine medical history, current health status, and healthcare needs.
  • Accurately document patient information, including vital signs, symptoms, and treatments administered, in electronic health records (EHR) or charts.

Direct Patient Care:

  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians, including administering medications, treatments, and wound care.
  • Monitor patient status and report any significant changes or adverse reactions to the healthcare team.

Assistance in Medical Procedures:

  • Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments as needed.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and provide education on pre- and post-procedure care.

Collaborative Care Coordination:

  • Coordinate patient referrals, appointments, and follow-up care to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.

Clinical Procedures and Laboratory Tasks:

  • Perform clinical procedures such as collecting samples for testing, administering injections, and conducting routine laboratory tests.
  • Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of specimens according to established protocols and safety standards.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Assist with scheduling patient appointments and coordinating referrals as needed

Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of New York.
  • Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing principles, procedures, and protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining professionalism and compassion.

Job Type: Full time

Compensation: $30-38 hourly (depending on experience)

Hours: 40 hours/week

Location: Rochester, NY

Start Date: ASAP

Benefits: In order to be eligible for health benefits, you must be employed for 30 days and must average 30 hours per week over your first four weeks on assignment. If you become eligible and take action to enroll, you will be covered no earlier than 60 days into your assignment, depending on plan selection(s).
