Job description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Social Worker (LMSW/LCSW) for our facilities located in the Upper West Side of Manhattan, NY. We provide award-winning therapeutic services for adults ages 55+ throughout New York City. We have a full-time position for a Spanish-speaking LMSW/LCSW clinician to provide individual and group psychotherapy at our outpatient clinic satellite locations. Services are currently offered on site and via telehealth. No evenings, weekends or after-hours coverage required. This is a hybrid role with 4 days on-site and Fridays work from home.

Responsibilities:

  1. Engage older adults in mental health services at senior centers using outreach strategies.
  2. Deliver evidence-based mental health interventions in both individual and group settings.
  3. Conduct mental health screenings to identify potential disorders and impairments.
  4. Collaborate in interdisciplinary team conferences for treatment, case planning, and monitoring.
  5. Provide psychiatric social services to an identified caseload of older adult clients, including treatment planning, psychotherapy, and resource information.
  6. Lead group psychotherapy services under psychiatric supervision.
  7. Contribute to staff committees, program planning, conferences, and meetings.
  8. Represent the organization at specific DFTA events and community gatherings.
  9. Participate in training and unit meetings.
  10. Maintain accurate case records and reports, utilizing computer systems.
  11. Perform other assigned duties.

Qualifications:

  • New York State License in Clinical Social Work or Clinical Psychology (LMSW, LCSW)
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Strong written communication and record-keeping skills.
  • Understanding and appreciation of diverse cultural and individual factors in client service.
