A large hospital in Tacoma is looking to hire experienced Line Cooks to support their fast-paced retail cafeteria.

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Prepares food for 60-400 people per day
  • Preparing meals for both in-patient and retail cafeterias including casual dining
  • Adheres to strict dietary guidelines as necessary
  • Provides outstanding customer service, orders supplies, prepares food items and ensures proper food safety and sanitation standards are met
  • Maintains cooler and freezer stock
  • Works as part of a fast-paced team
  • Full Ticket Service Line - need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment


  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary Arts Degree OR 2+ years experience
  • Current State of Washington Food Handlers card
  • Serve-Safe Certified preferred

Preferred Skills:

  • Detail oriented
  • Experience in institutional or restaurant food service preferred


Multiple shifts available (AM/PM) - Monday - Friday (with rotating weekends)

3:30 AM - 7:30 AM start times - flexible start time, morning shift

11:30 AM - 8:00 PM

12:00 PM - 8:30 PM


$18-27 per hour depending on experience

Contract Length:

520 Hours. Opportunity to convert to permanent hire after satisfactory completion of contract.
