A large hospital in Puyallup is looking to hire a Line Cook to support their fast-paced retail cafeteria.

The Cook is responsible for providing restaurant-style dining in a healthcare setting, supporting our commitment to use whole, fresh, local, and sustainable products wherever economically possible. The incumbent provides outstanding customer service, orders supplies, prepares food items, ensures proper food safety and sanitation standards are met and maintains cooler and freeze stock. Incumbents work in a fast paced, team oriented, high volume, and customer service focused environment.

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Full Ticket Service Line - need to be able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Feeding 60-400 people per day (higher volume at some of the bigger hospitals, Auburn generally is on the lower end in that regard
  • Preparing meals for both the in-patient and retail cafeterias. casual dining, but need to be able to adhere to dietary structures and guidelines


  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Line Cook experience preferred
  • Current State of Washington Food Handlers card (or obtain within 7 days of hire)

AM Shifts:

  • 6:00am-2:30pm

PM Shifts:

  • 11:00am - 7:00pm


$18 - 27 per hour depending on experience
