Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Primary Care Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for interviewing patients, taking vital signs, administering immunizations and injections, handling phone calls, and maintaining inventory of medical supplies. The ideal candidate must have great communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Interviewing Patients: Interview patients for standard rooming, documenting relevant health history, and preparing them for examination.
  • Vital Signs: Take vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and accurately record them in the patient's chart.
  • Injections and Immunizations: Administer immunizations and other prescribed injections according to clinical protocols.
  • Handling Phone Calls: Manage patient inquiries via phone, including scheduling, follow-up care, and providing necessary instructions.
  • Inventory Management: Take inventory of medical supplies and ensure that necessary equipment is replenished when low.

Must-Have Qualifications/Experience:

  • High school graduate or GED required.
  • Current CPR and/or BLS certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Licensed LPN through the Washington State Department of Health.
  • Demonstrates great depth of knowledge and skills within the LPN scope of practice.
  • Access to reliable transportation for work-related tasks.

Skills and Competencies for Success in this Role:

  • Ability to apply knowledge and skills to a range of moderately complex tasks and activities.
  • Acts as a technical resource to other team members within the LPN function.
  • Identifies proactive solutions to non-standard requests and issues.
  • Capable of solving moderately complex problems independently and working collaboratively on more complex issues.
  • Plans, prioritizes, organizes, and completes work to meet established objectives.
  • May coordinate the work of other team members, ensuring efficient patient flow.

Shift Time: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Possible 4 10-hour shifts available)

Pay:

$40-55 an hour (Based on experience)
