Job Description

The Licensed Mental Health Professional is an independently licensed clinician with LCSW licensure in Tennessee. This role involves conducting psychosocial assessments, providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient care within an inpatient psychiatric hospital setting.

Responsibilities/Job Duties:

  • Conduct behavioral health screenings and diagnostic assessments utilizing the DSM.

  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions (e.g., problem-solving treatment, behavioral activation, motivational interviewing).

  • Develop, document, and monitor individualized treatment and discharge plans.

  • Provide crisis intervention and coordinate care with community providers.

  • Facilitate family sessions to support patient recovery and discharge planning.

  • Participate in daily rounds and interdisciplinary team meetings.

  • Collaborate with institutional and community stakeholders to support patient care goals.

  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the department.

Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.

  • Active LCSW licensure in Tennessee (LMSW candidates will be considered).

  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in mental health or behavioral health settings.

  • Experience with diverse psychiatric populations, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, and co-occurring disorders.

  • Inpatient psychiatric experience and/or expertise with specialized populations (e.g., geropsych, co-occurring disorders, pediatric, young adult) preferred.
