Location: 100% Remote in the US (EST / CST hours)
Position Type: Contract
Compensation: Starting at $65/ hour - $70 / hour

ABOUT OUR CLIENT / ABOUT THE ROLE

Medix is currently seeking an experienced Scrum Master who has experience in Large-Scale Scrum (LeSS) OR Nexus frameworks for product development, specifically within the healthcare industry. Our client is a Healthcare Services organization serving Federal Government Agencies and the US Military. This Scrum Master will be leading a Product Team of Software Engineers who are developing the microservices applicant, running in the Azure Cloud.

Please note -- we are seeking individuals who have prior experience with Large-Scale Scrum (LeSS) Framework, and can help our organization reach a more mature adoption of LeSS Principles.

Because this role is working with Federal US Government customers, US Citizenship is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serving as the Scrum Master for one product team (7 members), focused on developing modern microservice-based web applications in Microsoft .Net, Angular, and Restful APIs
  • Maturing the scrum teams' cadence and communication with the goal of whole-product focus - Large-Scale Scrum (LeSS) and Nexus fundamentals
  • Ensuring that LeSS / Nexus frameworks, methods and techniques are promoted, understood and acted on.
  • Serving as a SME for internal employees, teams and stakeholders to understand and implement modern product development practices.
  • Serving as a facilitator, trainer, coach, and mentor for the team, and the broader organization.
  • Measuring team's maturity progress using learning milestones.
  • Support the five elements of a learning organization: personal mastery, mental models, shared vision, team learning, and systems thinking.
  • Adhere to the five Scrum values: focus, courage, openness, commitment, and respect.
  • Supporting continuous improvement
  • Supervising that Engineering Excellence is happening - making sure 1x1's are happening, ensuring takeaways and follow ups are occurring

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a US Citizen (Federal Government end-customer)
  • Required Bachelor Degree
  • Required 5+ years of Professional Experience
  • Required 3 years working as a Scrum Master
  • Required 2+ years of Large Scale Scrum (LeSS) or Scaled Professional Scrum w/Nexus framework
  • At least one the following Scrum Certification: Certified LeSS Basics (CLB), Certified LeSS Practitioner (CLP), Scrum@Scale, Scaled Professional Scrum (SPS)
  • Required Healthcare Industry experience
  • Required Software Development / Microservices Development team experience
  • Exceptional communication abilities
