Job Description:

Seeking a knowledgeable Leave Specialist to be a part of the Talent and Organization (TAO) team. This role will own administration of our generous Leave of Absence program, provide guidance to the business related to the interpretation of ADA, and administration of our benefits offerings.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for connecting with our team members as they prepare for their upcoming leave. They should have excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to balance empathy while enforcing our leave policies. They will also be responsible for the administration of our Included Health benefits program so they should have strong Excel skill as well as sharp attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Leave of Absence and ADA

  • Act as the Leave of Absence subject matter expert guiding employees and their managers through the leave process
  • Work closely with employees and external vendors to process and administer all leave of absence requests
  • Manage the full cycle leave process including communication with the employee, dedicated Talent Partner/ HRBP and Manager
  • Maintain and update the daily pay tracker (PCN) to ensure employees are paid accurately for internal paid leaves. Ensure PCN results are submitted to payroll bi-weekly on Mondays through JIRA.
  • Additionally, attend a semi-monthly Payroll/Leave Admin sync with payroll to address any prior month discrepancies.
  • Partner with the Payroll team to ensure accurate payments to those on a leave of absence
  • Partner with Workday team to periodically review and update processes for efficiency and automation
  • Provide regular analytics and reporting to the TAO Leadership team related to ongoing leaves and trends
  • Consult with managers, employees, and Talent Partners on matters related to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and workers compensation as the subject matter expert
  • Serve as the liaison between employees and Talent Partners to facilitate the collection and submission of ADA-related paperwork.
  • Manage tickets through JIRA ticketing system and meet SLA's with employee questions and concerns



Required Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of related experience
  • Extensive knowledge employee leave of absence processes and applicable laws - including FMLA, ADA, Workers Compensation and Retirement plans
  • Ability to make independent decisions in complex situations
  • Keen attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to keep information confidential and handle sensitive issues with empathy and strong judgment
  • Strong ability to organize, keep track of details and produce results in an fast-paced environment
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel skills
  • Knowledge and previous experience with Workday a strong plus

Physical/Cognitive Requirements:

  • Prompt and regular attendance at assigned work location.
  • Capability to remain seated in a stationary position for prolonged periods.
  • Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to operate keyboard, computer and other office-related equipment.
  • No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of about 20 lbs of force (e.g., lifting a computer \/ laptop) may be required.
  • Capability to work with leadership, employees, and members in an appropriate manner.
