Job description

Role Overview

The LCSW Clinical Supervisor ensures clinical integrity, oversees staff performance, and contributes to the agency's growth through direct supervision, training, and client work. This role involves both management and clinical responsibilities, with an emphasis on maintaining high ethical and clinical standards in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervision:

    • Provide weekly individual and group supervision to Masters-level clinicians and clinical interns.
    • Support clinical skill development and oversee timely clinical documentation.
    • Conduct case reviews and audits of electronic client charts.
  • Staff Support:

    • Motivate and assist staff to maintain performance in line with agency policies.
    • Provide oversight during risk assessments and crisis interventions, including emergency referrals and state registry reports.
    • Lead trainings and contribute to the team's professional development.
  • Client Care:

    • Ensure quality of care through participation in case conferences and team meetings.
    • Maintain high ethical standards while managing clinical and administrative tasks.
  • Compliance:

    • Ensure adherence to OMH standards for assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and referrals.

Qualifications

  • Required:

    • Valid NYS LCSW.
    • Strong engagement, assessment, and diagnostic skills with a thorough understanding of DSM-5.
    • Excellent writing skills and computer literacy.
    • Demonstrated experience with risk assessment, crisis intervention, and safety planning.
    • Knowledge of Article 31 clinics.
    • Availability for evening hours; Saturday availability is a plus.
  • Preferred:

    • At least one year of clinical supervisory experience (training available for less experienced candidates).
    • Experience working with young children.
    • Spanish/English bilingual skills.
    • SIFI certification.
    • Strong organizational and independent work skills.
