Laboratory Technician

Job description



Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain bacterial cultures.
  • Conduct independent laboratory research under the guidance of research leaders.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain scientific equipment.
  • Manage lab record-keeping, data entry, and database organization and maintenance.
  • Provide general research support for various projects.
  • Supervise daily operations of the research lab.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
  • Weekend work may be required occassionally.


Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent training.
  • Experience in working with bacterial cultures is required.
  • Experience with Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently with a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
