Job description

The Cleanroom Lab Technician prepares sub-millimeter samples using stereomicroscopy for analysis via various techniques including polarized light microscopy and specialized microanalytical methods. They collaborate within a team to conduct materials characterization and particle analysis for clients. This role also supports laboratory operations by maintaining equipment, preparing supplies, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with company's scientific and operational standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and characterize samples using specialized techniques in a cleanroom environment.
  • Follow client procedures and safety protocols for sample preparation and documentation.
  • Maintain and stock cleanroom laboratory supplies; ensure equipment is maintained to ISO 14644 standards.
  • Coordinate with procurement specialist to order necessary supplies.
  • Perform general laboratory maintenance and housekeeping.
  • Maintain professionalism and effective communication with clients and colleagues.
  • Identify opportunities for improving laboratory efficiency and operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company's quality management system, client requirements, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
  • Minimum one year of laboratory experience preferred.
  • Experience in FDA regulated/GMP or ISO environments preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other software.
  • Strong organizational, independent work, and record keeping skills.
