Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

As an Insurance Verification Specialist you will…

• Verify patients insurance prior to scheduled appointments such as Medicare and commercial payers
• Maintain eligibility insurance for specific locations
• Attention to detail in patient charts
• Verify appointments 5-7 days in advance
• Navigate through payer portals to verify eligibility
• Familiar with NextGen and Cleareave e-chart programs

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Experience/Requirements

• ARRT certification, but would also be open to reviewing LMRT (limited scope)
• Experienced candidate (not a new grad)

Nice to Have Skills:

• NextGen experience
• Ophthalmology experience

Soft Skill/Attribute Requirements:

• Team Player

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic office equipment such as: "EMR (electronic medical record system) NextGen, Microsoft Excel computer, internet, email, copy and fax machines, and telephone.

Work Environment: This position is going to be FULLY ON SITE.
