Insurance Verification Specialist

We are looking for an individual with 2 years of insurance verification, benefits, or billing

Location - Onsite position in the Oakbrook office

Salary - $41,000-$49,000 a year based on prior experience

Contract to hire role with a great mental health organization

Shift - Mon to Fri 9am to 5:30pm or 8:30am to 5:00pm

Job Responsibilities

Communicate with payors to verify eligibility and benefits, confirm anticipated patient out of pocket expense, and determine next steps for prior authorization.
Prioritize urgent benefits.
Create and distribute patient benefit letters
Document progress in project management system.
Develop single case agreements if necessary
Collaborate with admissions team to provide information in a timely fashion.
Coordinate efforts with billing team.
Create a positive patient experience
Actively participate as a team member in resolving issues as they are identified

Other requirements of the Prior Authorization role include:

High school diploma or GED
Exceptional customer service skills
Effective communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Detail-oriented
Experience in a healthcare related field, specifically insurance eligibility verification or collection of accounts receivable preferred, with a minimum of 2 years
Additional job duties as assigned
