Insurance Verification Rep

Medix is urgently hiring for a temp Insurance Verification Rep to start immediately with a large hospital system in the Katy, Tx area.

Job Summary: The Insurance Verification Specialist is responsible for obtaining and recording eligibility and benefit information for patients receiving services. This includes confirming authorizations and completing admission notifications as required. Additional duties involve calculating patient liability and generating estimates to determine financial responsibility. The role requires effective communication with patients, co-workers, insurance companies, and physicians.

Key tasks include working in the Epic work queue, navigating insurance portals within Epic, and verifying benefits. The specialist is expected to manage a workload of 70 accounts per day.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of insurance verification experience

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am-5:30pm (fully onsite)

Pay: $20-21/hr

*** Contract opportunity through the end of February due to employee being out on maternity leave. Potential opportunity to go perm.
