Medix's Grapevine-based client is hiring for a Insurance Verification Coordinator to start immediately. Please apply if qualified and interested!

The Position:

• Insurance Verification Coordinator

Duties:

• Obtain benefit information for new and returning patients not verified within 90 days.
• Gather details on deductibles, out-of-pocket costs, Physical Therapy benefits, co-payments, and co-insurance.
• Document information in the Patient Registration and "Insurance Eligibility" sections.
• Update patient alert notes with relevant communication.
• Collaborate with Scheduling Coordinators and Patient Service Associates for urgent verifications or missing information.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Patient Financial Services Manager.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 3 years Medical Billing or pre-certification experience required.
• Detail oriented and organizational skills.
• Computer experience, typing and ability to operate calculator.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients and insurance carriers.
• Possess the ability to work productively, either independently or with other individuals.
• Possess the ability to plan and execute work projects.
• Proficient in communicating in the English language both written and verbally.
• Coding Certificate or knowledge preferred.

The Location:

• Grapevine, TX 76051

Schedule:

• M - Fri (flex start after training between 7-8:30)

Pay Rate:

• $18-20
