Job description

Job Description:

  • Responsible for meeting monthly revenue budget for two offices
  • Works with operations manager to ensure good client relationships and provides
    feedback during conference calls as necessary
  • Recruits staff and oversees training, cross training and development
  • Counsels staff as appropriate and handles personnel issues including reviews
    and disciplinary actions
  • Assists support manager with placement files, payment posting, and
    reconciliation.
  • Actively engages in Implementation of new clients
  • Conducts departmental meetings

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma with at least three years of experience in the collections or
    hospital insurance collections business or the equivalent.
  • A firm grasp of healthcare A/R Cycle
  • Experience managing a large staff preferably in a hospital business office, multi-
    physician practice, CBO or collection agency insurance department. Medical
    Insurance Collections experience a plus
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, FDCPA & FCRA laws and must successfully complete the
    FDCPA and HIPAA Standards exams
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday during normal working hours
  • Medicare/Medicaid, Commercial, Auto, Work Comp, Liability, Crime Victims and
    State and Federal Insurance Programs
  • Functional knowledge of multi- patient accounting systems such as Epic,
    MediTech, McKesson Star, AS400, etc.
  • Understand ICD9, ICD10, DX, HCPCS, CPT codes and DRGs.
  • Ability to interpret EOB's, denials and medical records data.
