Requirements

Summary: An Insurance Coordinator is a vital role to the overall success of our organization as it will allow patients to gain access to their therapies, infusions and/or medications. You will directly be impacting the lives of patients every day.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following, other duties may be assigned.

As a Patient Services Representative, you will...

• Responsible for insurance verification and/or authorization on patients.
• Responsible for transcribing information from the Intake Referral Form and patient information received from the referral source into the computer system correctly. This includes but is not limited to: demographics, insurance, physician, nursing agency, diagnosis, height, weight, and allergies (when information is available and as applicable).
• Handles faxes as appropriate and as applicable.
• Re-verification of insurance and demographics on all restart patients.
• Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.

Education and/or Experience:

• 1+ Years of Insurance Verification and Authorization Experience
• Strong Knowledge of Payor/Insurance Landscape
• Insurance Experience with HMOs, PPOs, and Government Plans

Computer Skills: Must be able to operate standard computer functions, and will be trained on the Electronic Medical Record System CPR+ software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
