Job description

Position: Inside Sales Manager

We are looking for a motivated life sciences professional with a strong client-centric mindset to join our team as an Inside Sales Manager. This role will collaborate closely with sales, design, and finance teams to provide exceptional client service, drive new project opportunities, and support account development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify strategic opportunities to engage clients and develop new business
  • Research potential accounts, analyze competitors, and attend trade shows to generate sales leads
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers in the life sciences industry
  • Align internal teams to address client needs and requests
  • Establish trusted relationships with clients and internal leaders at Lightship
  • Optimize client engagement across multiple accounts
  • Create and review client-facing materials and participate in client education or change management initiatives

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Life Sciences
  • 5+ years of experience in life sciences and related commercial roles
  • Strong understanding of drug discovery, development, and commercialization processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships and work effectively in dynamic teams
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with strong attention to detail
  • 3+ years of Salesforce experience

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Zymewire, Citeline, GlobalData)
  • Experience developing account strategies and working with Business Development teams
  • A "hunter" mentality in pursuing new opportunities and leads
