Job description

Job Title: Infusion Registered Nurse (RN)

Schedule:
Monday - Friday | 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (8-hour shifts)

Job Summary: Medix seeking a skilled and compassionate Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to join our oncology-focused team. This role is vital in providing exceptional care for patients receiving various infusions, including hydration therapies, iron, and other non-chemo agents. The ideal candidate will excel in IV placement, port access, and phlebotomy, delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main infusion nurse, managing all aspects of patient infusions.
  • Access and maintain implanted ports for infusion therapy.
  • Perform phlebotomy and laboratory draws as required.
  • Administer intravenous (IV) therapies, including hydration, iron, and non-chemotherapy agents.
  • Prepare and deliver injections and hypnotherapy infusions as prescribed.
  • Educate patients on infusion procedures and provide support throughout the process.
  • Monitor and document patient responses to therapy, ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Collaborate with the medical team to optimize patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in California.
  • Minimum of 2 years of infusion nursing experience, with oncology experience preferred (oncology chemo certification not required).
  • Proficiency in IV placement, port access, and phlebotomy.
  • Strong knowledge of infusion protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
