Job description

Medix is hiring for a Hybrid HCM Support Rep in Overland Park, KS!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle Incoming Calls: Receive and manage calls from healthcare providers to confirm patient eligibility for procedures or tests.
  • Verify Eligibility: Check patient coverage and eligibility for scheduled procedures or tests using relevant systems and databases.
  • Gather Information: Collect and document patient demographics, procedure details, and any other necessary information from providers.
  • Input Data: Enter patient and procedural data into the system to determine coverage and facilitate appointment setup.
  • Understand Procedures: Maintain a knowledge of various medical procedures and imaging modalities (e.g., CAT scan, x-ray, MRI) to assist in the processing of requests.
  • Utilize CPT Codes: Identify and apply appropriate CPT codes for procedures to ensure accurate billing and scheduling.
  • Assist Providers: Provide accurate information and guidance to healthcare providers regarding patient eligibility and coverage options.
  • Update Records: Ensure all patient and procedure information is current and accurately reflected in the system.
  • Troubleshoot Issues: Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to patient eligibility or procedure scheduling.
Must Have Skills/Qualifications
  • Tech savvy
  • Clinical experience (CNA, OR Tech, CMA, patient-facing)
  • Strong medical terminology understanding
  • MUST HAVE A COMPUTER to be able to work remotely. No Macbook.
