Job description

Location: Hybrid/Remote in La Mesa
Duration: Through June 2024

The Shared Housing Navigator connects individuals with essential resources and supports them in securing stable, permanent housing, following the Housing First model. Responsibilities include conducting participant intake, identifying suitable housing options, and providing referrals for support services like health, mental health, and employment. Navigators assist with documentation, housing searches, and financial aid applications as needed.

The role involves building relationships with landlords, service providers, and community stakeholders, as well as maintaining participant records in compliance with confidentiality standards. Additionally, Navigators offer support through the Shared Housing portal and engage in outreach and community events. Regular follow-ups ensure participants achieve their housing goals, supported by best practices such as Trauma-Informed Care and Motivational Interviewing.

Must-Have Skills/Qualifications:
- 1+ year experience in relevant roles
- Ability to work both remotely and in the field as needed.
- Valid CA Driver's License and Insurance.

Schedule/Shift:
- Hybrid Schedule: 2 days in office, 3 days remote.
- Work Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours/week), with flexible start times between 8-9 am.
- Field Work: Candidates will meet clients in the field as needed (e.g., doctor's offices, coffee shops).
