House Keeping/ EVS (2nd/3rd Shift or Weekends)

Medix is hiring a House Keeping/Environmental Services Technician to support a hospital organization in Richmond, VA. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Environmental Services Technician to help us keep our hospital clean and safe for our patients. You will be responsible for sweeping outside areas, mopping floors, sanitizing counters and other surfaces, gathering and washing soiled linens, and emptying trash bins. When necessary, you will clean up spills and restock and prepare rooms after patients are discharged. You will also be required to maintain and store cleaning equipment properly.

Essential Job Functions/DutiesDuties and Responsibilities

• Sweep and clear outside areas, especially entryways

• Sweep and mop floors

• Wipe down and sanitize countertops, desks, and other surfaces

• Gather and wash soiled linens, including cubicle curtains

• Empty trash containers

• Restock linens and other supplies

• Maintain and store cleaning equipment

Schedule:

2nd Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm (One 15 min break, one 30 min break, alternating weekends)

3rd shift: 11:00pm - 7:30pm (One 15 min break, one 30 min break, alternating weekends)

Position Requirements:

• High School Diplima
• Reliable
• Strong communication experience
