Job description

HIRING A REMOTE HOSPITAL INSURANCE COLLECTOR!

The Hospital Insurance Collector will be responsible for denied, no response and underpaid claims from Commercial Payers.

This particular role is looking for candidates with primary experience working with commercial payers with a bit of experience working with Medicare/Medicaid in an inpatient setting.

Schedule: M-F 40 hours/week, start time is between the hours of 6:30-9 AM PST

Pay: Between $25-$29/hr depending on experience & qualifications!

Day to day:

  • Working denials on "no response" claims where the insurance payer hasn't responded to claims they've submitted.
    • Working primarily with Commercial Insurance Payers
    • Investigate why a claim was denied or underpaid.
    • Gather supporting documentation to correct claim.
    • Submit corrected claim.
    • Generate the appeal letter.
    • Review claims that were submitted that never got a response.
  • Working with 3 different teammates on average

Metrics: Work up to 30 accounts a day once up to speed

Benefits:
- In order to be eligible for health benefits, you must be employed for 30 days and must average 30 hours per week over your first four weeks on assignment. If you become eligible and take action to enroll, you will be covered no earlier than 60 days into your assignment, depending on plan selection(s).
