Overview:

• Assisting the pharmacist(s) in providing pharmaceutical care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly.
• Learning to identify and understand the variable dosage requirements of different age groups. You'll be encouraged to consult with the pharmacist if questions / concerns arise.
• Learning to maintain the proper aseptic technique within the LAFW/BSC in accordance to local, state and federal regulations.
• Accurately preparing intravenous solutions and admixtures in a timely manner
• Accurately labeling, packaging and storing products prior to shipment to patients.
• Maintaining pharmacy and clean room in a clean, organized and well stocked manner
• Assisting with daily, weekly, and monthly Quality Assurance activities including but not limited to temperature monitoring of product environment.
• Both positions also require the lifting of 35-pound boxes of fluid to supply the needs of the clean room compounding processes.
• Assisting with inventory management functions involving receiving and stocking drug shipments as well as computer system inventory maintenance.
• the pharmacist(s) in providing pharmaceutical care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly.
• Receiving all products into the warehouse, verifying packing slips to the corresponding shipment and reporting any discrepancies to Regional Purchasing.
• Monitoring and ensuring effective product/drug recall and removal of outdated or unwanted inventory.
• Tracking and reporting waste/consumables with appropriate staff.
• Assisting in inventory report management and follow up to appropriate departments utilizing trends and data.
• Monitoring and communicating drug and supply shortages (anticipated or unanticipated) to appropriate staff. Participates in or leads shortage committee meetings.
• Assisting in ensuring adequate levels of drugs, supplies and equipment are always available to minimize shortages.
• Coordinating, monitoring, and initiating inter pharmacy site transfers of drug and supply.
• Assisting in barcoding and mapping new inventory items

Must have qualiifications/skills:

• State Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPht)
• Obtain National Cert within a year (CPht)

Nice to have skills:

• Cleanroom Pharmacy Experience
• Sterile Compounding Experience
• National Pharm Tech Cert

Location: Woburn, MA 08101

Shift(s): Four shifts: 7:00am-3:30pm, 9:00am-5:30pm, 10:00am-6:30pm, and 12:00pm-8:30pm (1 week rotations, rotate through each shift), Weekend Rotation Sat/Sun 9:00am-5:00pm (every 4 weeks)

Pay Range: $25.50-32.00 /hr
