Job description

A World-Renowned organization is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to support their Home Health team in Anaheim, CA.

This is a 12 week contract opportunity with the possibility of extension, permanent emlpoyment and a Hybrid work schedule following training.

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for accurate verification of Home Health insurance benefits
  • Obtaining Home Health Authorizations
  • Maintain ongoing record of authorizations
  • Talk with patients and patient family members about condition of referred patient
  • Documents information into EMR and scans pertinent information under patient charts
  • Interacts with clinicians

Must Have:

  • 1 - 2 years of Insurance verification experience
  • Authorizations experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Customer Service Skills
  • Computer proficiency

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Length: 480 hours (approx. 12 weeks)

Pay: $23-26 per hour depending on experience

Benefits provided by Medix:

In order to be eligible for health benefits, you must be employed for 30 days and must average 30 hours per week over your first four weeks on assignment. If you become eligible and take action to enroll, you will be covered no earlier than 60 days into your assignment, depending on plan selection(s).

PTO/Sick Pay: You will receive one day of PTO (8 hours) after working 300 hours and an additional day of PTO for every 240 hours after. You can accrue up to 6 days PTO max. (Emeryville, San Francisco, Oakland, and Los Angeles accrue at 0.033 per hour rate with a max of 9 days PTO).
