Job description

Overview:
We are seeking a Health Information Management (HIM) Technician to support our department. This is a day shift position from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The role involves performing a variety of clerical and technical duties associated with medical records processes, including retrieval, preparation, scanning, imaging, filing, quality review, and indexing of paper documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document Management: Scanning, imaging, and indexing of paper documents.
  • DNFB/DNFC Assistance: Support reconciliation and completion of accounts.
  • Registry Maintenance: Manage non-patient-facing registries such as trauma and death records.
  • Document Retrieval: Efficiently retrieve and organize required medical documents.
  • Account Reconciliation: Maintain accuracy and organization in account records.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Proven technical abilities, including comfort with computers, scanning equipment, and navigating multiple applications.
  • Willingness to undergo occupational health screenings.
  • Strong attention to detail with a track record of reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and achieving workplace goals.


Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (overtime available based on performance).
