Location: Austin, TX (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented HIM (Health Information Management) Technician to join our team. The HIM Technician will perform clerical and technical duties associated with medical records management, including document retrieval, preparation, scanning, imaging, filing, quality review, and indexing of paper documents. This role requires proficiency in operating technical equipment and handling the detailed tasks involved in medical record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scanning and imaging of medical records.
  • Assisting with DNFB/DNFC (Discharged Not Final Billed/Discharged Not Final Coded) tasks.
  • Retrieving documents as needed.
  • Reconciliation of accounts.
  • Registry maintenance (non-patient facing, such as trauma, death registries, etc.).
  • Indexing documents accurately and efficiently.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Proven technical abilities (comfortable using computers, scanning machines, and navigating between multiple applications).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Willingness to complete occupational health screenings.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of strong work ethic and ability to hit workplace goals.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
