Full Job Description

Are you a healthcare professional seeking to further your career in HIM functions, or a student on summer break looking for seasonal employment? We are looking to hire HIM - Medical Record Technicians to support our facility with an influx of records that require scanning, filing and organizing. Healthcare background or prior experience is preferred, but not a requirement. This role will last 6-8 weeks minimum with potential for extension. Apply to get your name in the mix!

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following, other duties may be assigned.

As a HIM Technician, you will...

• Perform clerical/technical duties associated with medical records processes and procedures.
• Retrieval, preparation, and quality review of paper documents.
• Indexing, scanning, imaging and filing tasks.
• Operating equipment with the detailed technical aspects of assigned duties.
• Reconciliation of accounts and retrieval of documents.
• DNFB/DNFC Assistance

Training:

• First week of employment, M-F
• Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm

Education and/or Experience:

• Proven Technical Abilities (comfortable using a computer, scanning machine, etc)
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Proven track record of strong work ethic within a fast-paced environment
• Healthcare background or experience preferred (not required)

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic office equipment such as: "EMR" System (electronic medical record system), computer, internet, email, copy and fax machines, and telephone.

Job Type: Full-time, 6-8 Week Contract

Pay: $18.75-$22.75 per hour

Schedule: (Four options available)

• 3:30pm-12am, Sunday-Thursday
• 3:30pm-12am, Tuesday-Saturday
• 11:00am-7:30pm, Sunday-Thursday
• 11:00am-7:30pm, Tuesday-Saturday
