Job description

We are looking for an individual with at least 5 years of hospital billing experience

Location - Chicago, Illinois

Contract role with the potential to get hired on permanently

Shift: Hybrid work with 1-2 days in office, Monday - Friday 8AM-4:30PM

Day to Day:

The position assists the Director of Reimbursement Compliance, Corporate Compliance and works in partnership with Hospital Revenue Cycle, Utilization Management, Health Information Management, and others as applicable with responses to government audits. This position develops, interprets, and implements operational requirements for government audits, i.e., Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' (CMS) Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC) program and has accountability for daily management, monitoring, and direction of RAC activities. This position provides financial data and analysis for internal and external reporting, ensures preparedness for audits, responds to audit requests, routes questionable determinations based on rejection/subject matter to appropriate internal departments, and files timely appeals.

Must have:

  • Bachelor's Degree

    • Certification: CPC or AHIMA (RHIT, RHIA, CCS)

  • 5-7 years of hospital billing experience

Benefits:
