Floor Technician - Prior exp required

We are hiring for Floor Techs to join our team in the Richmond, VA area. We are seeking candidates who are a team player, organized, and someone who is both reliable and responsible.

Hours:

• 2nd shift
• 3:00pm - 11:30pm
• 1, 15 min break / 1, 30 minute break
• 3rd shifts.
• 11:00pm - 7:30pm
• 1, 15 min break / 1, 30 minute break

• Rotating every other weekends
• Some floor techs will be Sunday - Thursday

Job Title: Floor Tech

Pay: $17-19/hr (Day to Day (Pay is on a shift differential, so 19 is only available for the overnight shifts)

Job Description

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surface
• Use the proper procedures on carpet and upholstering including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Overview

• Scheduled breaks: 1 15-minute break and 1 half-hour break
• Break area provided for taking breaks
• Panera open during overnight shift for meals
• Vending areas available for snacks
• Duties include:
• Checking and ensuring the room is empty
• Washing the walls down
• Stripping and waxing the floor with at least 4 coats of wax
• Discharge Team:
• Expectation: Clean at least 7 rooms
• Timeframe: 35-40 minutes per room including travel time
• Project Team:
• Tasks:
• Stripping and waxing floors
• Terminal cleaning
• Washing walls
• Timeframe: 2.5 hours for completion

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Floor techs must have prior experience (minimum 6 months)
• Must be fluent in English
• Professional
