Float Medical Assistant
Job description
Responsibilities:
- Contributes positively to a team of other staff and providers
- Triages patients by taking vital signs and taking a medication history
- Calls in prescriptions
- Takes phone notes and returns phone calls for questions regarding all aspects of the medical practice
- Administers IM injections
- Phlebotomy, including prepping and ordering blood tests, for adults and children
- Patient education
- Must type well and be comfortable with Word and Excel
- Must have excellent communication (both oral and written) skills and math skills
- Schedules appointments for new and established patients
- Schedules referred patients and radiographic procedures
- Responds to emails
- Helps with the flow of patients into the clinic
- Handles correspondence to and from other physicians
- Must multi-task, be flexible, and show initiative
- Must have strong organizational skills and be able to prioritize workload
Pay Range:
$18-21 (*based on experience)
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 7:30am-6:00pm
Location:
This position will require traveling to Franklin twice a week.
