Job description

Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (Floating)

Pay Rate: $19.50 - $22.00/hr + $300/month travel stipend

Overview: We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to float among four locations in the Memphis market. The "home base" will be in Crosstown.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily patient flow, greet and escort patients, and perform intake procedures including interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and recording information on patient charts.
  • Provide direct patient care and assist in procedures such as EKGs, vaccines, medications, and lab work under supervision.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and specimen collection, including phlebotomy and venipuncture, while adhering to laboratory protocols and quality control standards.
  • Maintain and prepare equipment for use, ensuring functionality and compliance with safety and infection control regulations.
  • Support providers in comprehensive patient health assessments and ensure complete pre-visit planning and follow-up on referrals.
  • Handle patient referrals, telephone encounters, and educate patients about available services to optimize their care experience.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA)
  • 3+ years of Medical Assistant experience
  • Pediatric experience and proficiency in administering pediatric vaccines
  • BLS/CPR Certification
  • Injection and phlebotomy experience with all age groups (pediatrics to geriatrics)
  • EMR experience

Nice to Have:

  • ECW (EClinical Works) experience

Work Locations:

  • Locations: Crosstown, Whitehaven, Germantown, and Wolfchase

Schedule/Shift: Monday-Friday - 8 hour shift between the hours of 7am-6pm (hours depend on location) and rotating weekends (8am-4pm).
