One of Medix's best clients is a leading North American insurance brokerage that provides employee benefits, business, and personal insurance products and services. They are seeking a Finance Project Manager to drive key initiatives within the finance department. The role involves organizing and executing cross-functional projects that require collaboration across Finance, Accounting, and other departments. With the company's continued growth through mergers and acquisitions, this position plays a critical role in developing process improvements, upgrading systems, and aligning policies and procedures.

Responsibles for the role:

  • Create clear project plans, timelines, and success metrics, collaborating with initiative sponsors, working groups, and finance teams.
  • Act as a project ambassador by gaining deep knowledge of workflow processes.
  • Ensure consistent project progress by identifying and addressing risks, driving momentum, and keeping projects on track to meet deadlines.
  • Measure project performance and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Communicate project status and updates to working groups, project sponsors, and leadership, including C-level executives.
  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with departments such as Technology, Operations, Data Management, Legal, and key teams in Finance & Accounting.



Requirements to apply for the role:

  • Experience working with diverse, cross-functional teams, especially within Finance & Accounting and Operations.
  • Strong finance or accounting background, with experience managing financial projects and improving controls.
  • Comfortable working with senior executives, including project sponsors.
  • Proven ability to create detailed project plans, scope documents, and timelines, with a strong execution focus.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA, PMP certification, Lean Six Sigma training, or related project management qualifications are a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate environments, preferably in finance or project management roles.



Compensation is based off years of experience and in relation to the job responsibilities listed, our range is between $100,000 - $115,000.
