Job Summary:
As a Nurse Practitioner (NP) you will function as a licensed independent practitioner, responsible for assessing patient health, performing physical examinations, and diagnosing and treating medical conditions. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care, including patient education and preventive health strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed and accurate patient histories and physical examinations.
- Review patient records for accuracy and order appropriate diagnostic studies.
- Perform screening evaluations and prescribe appropriate treatments for adults and/or children.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members and make referrals as needed.
- Make medical diagnoses and initiate therapy or refer patients to the appropriate health care facilities or specialists.
- Administer emergency treatments such as cardiac arrest stabilization.
- Interpret patient data and develop management and treatment plans.
- Provide patient education on preventive care and disease management.
- Maintain quality care standards and meet company productivity metrics.
General Duties:
- Follow established safety and infection control procedures.
- Comply with standards of conduct and the Corporate Responsibility Program.
- Participate in interdepartmental committees and initiatives.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and effective communication with both internal and external contacts.
Qualifications:
- Active Family Nurse Practitioner (F-NP) License in the state of Maryland.
- 1-3 years of experience in family medicine is highly preferred.
- Strong commitment to timely follow-up on patient care (within 24-48 hours).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Ability to independently perform medical procedures and make informed decisions.
Schedule:
- Monday to Wednesday; Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Thursday: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM
