Health Information Technology (HIT) Application Analyst - IT Analyst - Healthcare

Job Responsibilities

As a HIT Application Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing business requirements while recommending system changes and writing technical specifications. You will develop code and implement systems and system changes to address changing application requirements. You will contribute to the analysis and recommendations relating to performance and/or capacity of systems to ensure reliability for current and/or future use

Other responsibilities of the IT Analyst role include:

  • Analyzing production problems and identifying solutions and changes
  • Working with customers, application vendors, and other IS resources
  • Adhering to quality assurance standards and systems development and delivery
  • Responding thoroughly and promptly to customer needs
  • Meeting Service Level Agreements as defined in conjunction with our customers
  • Managing customer relationships and following issues through to closure
  • Delivering effective support by seeking a thorough understanding of the team's goals
  • Developing relationships with users and other IS team members
  • Providing mentoring and acting as a resource for Associate Analysts
  • Contributing to the IS Knowledge Repository

RequirementsAs a HIT Analyst, you must understand the business, the clinical processes, and the operational environments of your assigned customers. You must be able to communicate clearly, responsively and purposely with customers and team members. You must be able to prioritize and manage multiple work efforts simultaneously, handle multiple priorities, and adapt well to rapid changes.

Other requirements of the IT Analyst role include:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • 3 - 7 years of experience in core discipline in the healthcare industry, preferred
  • Ability to assign services and systems while grasping the integration and interaction of all supported services and systems
  • Ability to enhance the timeliness and effectiveness of IT solutions
  • Strong leadership and team building skills
