Job Responsibilities

As a Healthcare IT Project Manager, you will work with one of the largest hospital systems in Illinois, assisting them in their efforts to build out their Enterprise Data Warehouse for the New Year. This is a major opportunity to play a key role in a large and highly visible project for this healthcare system, and to interact directly with C-level executives, including the organization's CIO and CEO.

Your specific scope of duties will include:

• Providing recommendations to management regarding resources (people, financial, tools, etc.) required to complete projects
• Facilitating meetings, following up as needed, and directing and coordinating related activities
• Identifying and managing issues, risks, scope changes, status reporting, expectations, budgets, and workloads
• Assigning tasks, negotiating for resources, and facilitating conflict resolution
• Maintaining understanding of and consistently applying professional best practices for Project Management
• Presenting to groups at a level appropriate for each project
• Managing the day-to-day relationship with client personnel, including C-level management

RequirementsAs a Healthcare IT Project Manager, you must be a strong and organized leader with a proven track record of managing experienced IT professionals in enterprise-level projects. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences, including C-level management.

Specific qualifications for the role include:

• Previous Enterprise Data Warehouse implementation experience
• Extensive EDI / EDW knowledge
• Solid Clinical Analystics knowledge
• Previous experience in and knowledge of the healthcare industry
• Previous implementation experience
• Prior experience working on major implementation projects
• PMP certification
• Advanced Microsoft Project skills/experience
