The On-Site Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) will be responsible for providing immediate medical care, emergency response, and health-related support to staff, visitors, and contractors on-site. This role will focus on promoting and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment by responding to workplace injuries, managing first aid services, conducting health assessments, and supporting wellness programs for winery employees. The EMT will also work closely with safety and operational teams to develop and implement health and safety protocols specific to the winery environment.
Pay: $20.00-$28.00/hr

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide immediate first aid and emergency medical services for injuries and illnesses occurring on-site.
- Assess and stabilize injured or ill individuals until more advanced medical care arrives if necessary.
- Maintain proper documentation of all incidents, treatments, and follow-ups.
- Monitor health and safety risks related to winery operations (e.g., working in hot weather, handling chemicals, lifting).
- Educate staff on basic health and safety protocols and first aid procedures.
- Ensure that first aid kits, medical supplies, and emergency equipment are fully stocked, accessible, and up to date.
- Conduct routine checks and maintenance of medical equipment such as AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) and oxygen tanks.
- Promote employee wellness programs, including health assessments and preventive care.
- Assist in ergonomic assessments and recommendations to reduce strain and injury among winery staff.
- Coordinate with local healthcare providers or organizations for health screenings and wellness initiatives.
- Complete detailed records of accidents, injuries, and medical treatments in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Prepare reports for management regarding workplace injuries, trends, and preventative measures.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations, including OSHA requirements.
- Act as a resource for staff on occupational health and safety matters, promoting a culture of health-conscious behavior.
- Work with the Health and Safety Manager to analyze workplace incidents and implement improvements to prevent future occurrences.
- Provide recommendations on health-related policies and best practices for the winery.
- Assist in developing emergency response plans specific to winery operations.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years EMT experience
- Valid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification.
- CPR and First Aid certified.
- Experience or training in occupational health and safety is a plus.
