Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Enrollment Specialist to join our team, responsible for assessing and managing cases involving significant gaps in health insurance coverage within families. As an Enrollment Specialist, you will play a crucial role in facilitating program objectives by guiding families through the enrollment process and ensuring the retention of benefits. Position Purpose

Responsible for assessment and case management of families where significant gaps in health insurance coverage exist. The specialist facilitates the program objectives by providing positive development while assisting families through the enrollment process and maintenance of benefits retention.

Functional Duties

  • Medical Assistance training through Healthcare Policy and Finance.
  • Processes Medicaid applications timely and accurately.
  • Assist clients with intake when applying for Medical Assistance.
  • Case Management Services to assist clients in enrollment.
  • Works with clinical staff in enrolling DIHFS patients.
  • Follow up with families to increase retention.
  • Provide enrollment support to Enrollment Specialists as needed.
  • Take enrollment site into the community.
  • Ability to track and measure progress of program.
  • Plans and coordinates community health activities outlined in the program objectives.
  • Practices effective communication with families and outside agencies.
  • Practices effective communications with other team members and supervisors.
  • Has clear concise written communication skills for reports and documentation.
  • Represents the agency in a professional manner.
  • Adheres to all agency policies and procedures.

Other Duties

  • Works with other DIHFS staff to provide quality care.
  • Actively participates in staff meetings, in-service, outreach, and educational programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Overnight travel may be required.

Education, Licensure or Formal Training

  • 2 years related experience in community work.
  • Experience working with American Indians or other culturally diverse group.
