Electrical Assembler

Medix is currently partnered with a company specializing in the design of industrial power generation located in Darien, WI. With a second location in Beloit and a plant expansion under way in Darien, they are seeking Electrical Assembler to grow with their team! In this position you'll be focused on wiring enclosures to ensure quality control. This includes wiring, troubleshooting, training new assemblers, communicating across the organization, documenting using Lean tools for process improvement.

This is a five tier program, offering great career growth and additional training through Blackhawk Technical College if necessary. Each tiered promotion also comes with a monetary increase, with tier 1 starting at $23 / hour.

First Shift: Mon-Fri & every other Sat; 5AM - 3:30PM

Second Shift: Mon - Fri & every other Sat; 4PM - 2:30AM

Responsibilities:

• Read, interpret, and understand electrical schematics to support both electrical and mechanical assembly of power generation products.
• Assemble electrical components such electrical junction boxes, line connections, stop buttons, push buttons, safety switches, outlets, electrical motors, variable frequency drives, plc's, electrical sub-assemblies, and other electrical elements
• Use hand and power tools to ensure the electrical assembly follows standardized work instructions.
• Test engines and generators using EOL (End-of-Line) testing for various procedures, ensuring all products meet quality standards before shipping.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues related to mechanical deficiencies and wiring, ensuring functionality and compliance with electrical schematics.

Requirements

• Experience terminating wires, bending conduit, and rough-ins preferred.
• Proven experience in electrical assembly, including reading and interpreting electrical schematics, using digital meters, volt/ohm meters, and terminating wires.
• Comfortable working with 120-480 volts.
• Comfortable working on a ladder.
